Hathor ~ Ancient Electricity at Hathor

Hathor

Hathor: Did the Egyptians use ancient electricity at Hathor? The Temple of Hathor in Dendera, originally called the Temple of Tentyra, has paintings apparently demonstrating electricity in ancient times as discussed in Ancient Electricity at Violations.

The drawings could, of course, simply be man's modern eye superimposing its existing knowledge onto the past, however the range and complexity of the drawing at least gives credence to the claims that ancient man had some familiarity with electricity.

Other artefacts, such as the Antikythera mechanism prove a greater knowledge in the past, and the Baghdad Battery confirms that ancient man had knowledge of electricity.

Traditional Egyptologists, however, believe that the images are a mythological depiction of a djed pillar and a lotus flower, spawning a snake within, representing aspects of Egyptian mythology. Check out this video and draw your own conclusions as to whether the ancient Egyptians used electricity at Hathor.
