Edgar Cayce: The renowned psychic Edgar Cayce made many prophesies, including the location of Atlantis, indeed 700 of Edgar Cayce's readings mentioned Atlantis as discussed in In Search of the Lost Civilisation at Violations. Edgar Cayce stated the size of Atlantis (prior to disturbances in 50,000 B.C.) was similar to Europe combined with the portion of Asia considered to be part of Europe (Eurasia).

Its position “was between the Gulf of Mexico on the one hand - and the Mediterranean upon the other.” Some islands were mentioned by Cayce as once being mountaintops or “protrusions” of Atlantis such as the British West Indies or the Bahamas and Bimini.

According to Edgar Cayce, the first two destructions of Atlantis resulted in it becoming islands. The final catastrophe caused the major civilization centres of Atlantis to submerge as well as be subject to destructive forces. In oue of his readings Cayce stated that before Atlantis disappeared under the sea many of its remaining occupants fled to ancient Egypt supporting the theory that structures such as the pyramids, with their universal geometry, were not merely tombs for pharaohs, but testaments to a passing knowledge. A signal to the future of the knowledge of the past.
